लंदन/नई दिल्ली। कोरोना वैक्सीन कोविशील्ड बनाने वाली पूना की कंपनी सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट के मालिक अदार पूनावाला देश छोड़ कर लंदन चले गए। उन्होंने मीडिया को बताया कि उन्हें भारत में बड़े लोगों ने धमकियां दी थीं और वे जान बचाने के लिए भारत से बाहर निकले हैं और जल्द भारत वापस नहीं आएंगे। अपने जाने से पहले उन्होंने अपने परिवार को लंदन भेज दिया था। जब ब्रिटेन ने भारत से आने वाली उड़ानों पर रोक लगाई तब पूनावाला विशेष विमान से लंदन गये बताये जाते हैं।
देश भर में कोरोना वैक्सीन की कमी के बीच सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी अदार पूनावाला ने कहा है कि भारत में वैक्सीन की कमी मई में खत्म नहीं होने वाली है, बल्कि वैक्सीन आपूर्ति में कमी जुलाई तक चलेगी।
फाइनेंशियल टाइम्स की एक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक अदार पूनावाला ने कहा है कि वैक्सीन प्रोडक्शन जुलाई में बढ़ने की उम्मीद है। कोविशील्ड डोज का उत्पादन जुलाई में 60-70 मिलियन से बढ़कर 100 मिलियन हो जाने की उम्मीद है। अधिकारियों को जनवरी में वायरस की दूसरी लहर की उम्मीद नहीं थी, क्योंकि मामले घट रहे थे। किसी को भी इस बात अंदेशा नहीं था कि भारत में महामारी इस कदर बढ़ जाएगी। वैक्सीन प्रोडक्शन बढ़ाने के सवाल पर पूनावाला ने कहा-हमने पहले क्षमता इसलिए नहीं बढ़ाई क्योंकि इसके लिए हमें कोई भी आदेश नहीं दिया गया था। हमें नहीं लगा था कि एक साल के अंदर 100 करोड़ से ज्यादा वैक्सीन डोज चाहिए होगी।वहीं अदार पूनावाला ने आरोप लगाया कि - वैक्सीन की कमी को लेकर वैक्सीन निर्माता को नेताओं और आलोचकों द्वारा गलत तरीके से पेश किया गया है। हालांकि सरकार, कंपनी नहीं, नीति के लिए जिम्मेदार थी। कंपनी को राज्य सरकार को चार्ज करने के लिए भी आलोचना का सामना करना पड़ा है, जिसके बाद कीमतों को कम किया गया था। अदार पूनावाला ने कहा कि मुझे बहुत गलत और गलत तरीके से पीड़ित किया गया।
यह भी ध्यान में रखने की जरूरत है कि हमारी सरकार ने कोरोना को लेकर लाॅकडाउन के अलावा कोई बड़ा काम नहीं किया। दवा, अस्पताल और अन्य चीजों का पर्याप्त इंतजाम नहीं किया जबकि संसदीय समिति और विशेषज्ञों की समिति और दुनिया भर की रिसर्च यह बता चुकी थीं कि कोरोना की ज्यादा मारक लहर आने वाली है।
मालूम हो कि बहुत से देशों ने कोविशील्ड के कई साइड इफैक्ट के कारण इसे नकार दिया है। बहुत जानकार और खुद पूनावाला यह कह चुके हैं कि कोविशील्ड कोरोना से बचाने की गारंटी नहीं है। यह वैक्सीन इंग्लैंड की एस्ट्राजेनेका नामक दवा कंपनी और आॅक्सफोर्ड विश्वविद्यालय के रिसर्च के बाद अस्तित्व में आई जिसे बनाने का लाइसंेस सीरम को मिला। यह एमरजेंसी एपू्रवल था। यानी यह पक्का नहीं था कि यह दवा पूरी तरह सुरक्षित और कोरोना से बचाने वाली है। इसी तरह जांच किट को भी एमरजेंसी एप्रूवल मिला था क्योंकि तब तक जांच का कोई तरीका सरकारों के सामने नहीं रख सका था। तो जिसका पहले आवेदन आया उसी को परमीशन दे दी गई। इसलिए जांच प्रक्रिया और वैक्सीन पूरी दुनिया में विवादों में है।

According to a report in the Financial Times, Adar Poonawala has said that vaccine production is expected to increase in July. Production of the Covishield Dodge is expected to increase from 60-70 million to 100 million in July. Officials did not expect a second wave of the virus in January, as cases were declining. On the question of increasing vaccine production, Poonawalla said - We did not increase the capacity earlier because we were not given any order for this. Adar Poonawala said that I was victimized very wrongly and wrongly.

It was an emergency approach. That is, it was not sure that this drug is completely safe and safe from corona. Similarly, the test kit also got emergency approval because till then no method of investigation was put in front of the governments. So the person whose first application came was given permission. Therefore, the screening process and vaccine are in dispute all over the world.
New Delhi: Chief of Serum Institute of India Adar Poonawalla, who recently alleged receiving threat calls demanding supplies of Covishield vaccine, on Monday said that vaccine making is a specialised process and ramping up the production overnight is not possible.
Poonawalla, the CEO of Pune-based Serum Institute Of India - the world's largest vaccine manufacturer –recently alleged that he received "aggressive" phone calls from powerful people in India demanding supplies of Covishield -- the Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine that his firm is producing in India.
In a statement today, Poonawalla, who is currently in London with his wife to escape threats, said: "I would like to clarify certain things since my comments may have been misinterpreted.” The SII chief also said the population of India is huge and to produce enough doses for all adults is not an easy task. He, however, noted that the company is making every effort to enhance production of Covishield amid the second wave of COVID in the country.“First of all, vaccine manufacturing is a specialised process, it is therefore not possible to ramp up production overnight. We also need to understand that the population of India is huge and to produce enough doses for all adults is not an easy task. Even the most advanced countries and companies are struggling in relatively smaller populations. Secondly, ee have been working closely with Government of India since April last year. We have got all kinds of support, be it scientific, regulatory and financial,” his statement read.
He further said that as of today, the SII has received total orders of over 26 crore doses, of which it supplied more than 15 crore doses.
“We have also got 100% advance of Rs. 1732.50 Crore by Gol for the next tranche of 11 crore doses in the next few months. Another 11 crore doses would be supplied in the second channel for states & private hospitals in the next few months,” he added.
He said that everyone wants the vaccine to be available in the quickest possible time and his firm was making every effort to achieve that. “We shall work even harder and strengthen India's fight against Covid-19,” he said.
